DeepMotion is joining forces with the MIT Film Makers Association as a sponsor for the upcoming AI Filmmaking Hackathon on February 18th! Registration is open until February 17, 2024, and you can sign up here: https://engage.mit.edu/fma/about/

The MIT AI Filmmaking Hackathon, themed "Space I Call Home," welcomes participants both in person and remotely, focusing on video diffusion and 3D animation in the GenAI era. This creative space challenges participants to leverage AI tools for 3D modeling, motion capture, image and video generation, and more to craft compelling films.

DeepMotion has been a go-to AI motion capture tool for creators of all experience levels who are exploring how to combine generative AI technologies (check out this recent project!).  By providing free Animate 3D Studio access to the Filmmaking Hackathon for all participants, the team hopes to add a deeper level of creativity to the projects.

As highlighted by Ruihan Zhang, a PhD candidate at MIT Media Lab, "DeepMotion is transforming character animation for everyday users in the GenAI era, making it an invaluable tool for our AI for Filmmaking Hackathon."

Animate 3Dallows creators to produce 3D animation in minutes from any video, featuring full-body markerless tracking, face tracking, hand tracking, and multi-person tracking. It’s the perfect time to check it out with our new Free Animation Credit Program - check it out here!

MIT Filmmakers Association provides opportunities for Massachusetts Institute of Technology students to create films, meet other creators, and learn more about filmmaking through events and workshops.
